Need-to-Know Pathology: A Review for Physicians in a Hurry 2023 (CME VIDEOS)
Expert speakers will provide a comprehensive review of head-to-toe anatomic pathology topics in this continuing medical education program. They will also cover the management of a multidisciplinary clinical pathology laboratory and specialized testing support.
Need-to-Know Pathology: A Review for Physicians in a Hurry is an online CME board review that offers a case-based format with high-quality images. This program focuses on important topics within each subspecialty of anatomic and clinical pathology, including Dermatopathology and Breast Pathology, Genitourinary and Gynecologic Pathology, Cytopathology, Soft Tissue and Bone Marrow Pathology, Transfusion Medicine and Hematology, Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Virology, and more. With over 100 sessions, this review provides a thorough evaluation of pathologic features and in-depth work-up.
The learning objectives of this course include the ability to list high-yield concepts within anatomic pathology, recognize and subclassify neoplasms of various body parts, and discuss mesenchymal and hematopoietic neoplasms, including those involving children. Participants will also learn basic concepts in placental pathology and gain an understanding of laboratory management and utilization in healthcare, specifically with transfusion medicine/blood banking, chemistry, hematology (including hemoglobinopathies), coagulation, immunology, microbiology (including bacteriology, virology, parasitology), and molecular techniques ranging from cytogenetics to next-generation sequencing.
Target Audience
This course is designed for pathology residents/fellows preparing for their specialty examinations, as well as practicing pathologists who wish to fulfill the American Board of Pathology’s (ABPath) Continuing Certification program requirements for Part II (CME) Lifelong Learning, or update their knowledge in general.
