Course Description
This course will cover major areas in neoplastic dermatopathology including melanocytic, mesenchymal, adnexal, and other epithelial and hematolymphoid neoplasms of the skin. Using a case-based didactic approach, our expert faculty will share practical tips on accurate diagnosis, with an emphasis on diagnostic challenges and pitfalls. There will also be a focus on new entities with defining molecular aberrations, and ancillary tools that aid in their diagnoses.

Practicing academic and community pathologists, and pathologists-in-training

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

To identify both classic and subtle histopathologic features and immunophenotypes that distinguish between different cutaneous neoplasms.
To become familiar with newly described cutaneous tumors defined by unique histomorphologic features and genetic aberrations.
To understand the appropriate use and limitations of ancillary studies in neoplastic dermatopathology.
To recognize potential diagnostic pitfalls and how to circumvent them when evaluating skin biopsies.
