1. Overview
This is a primary care medical conference organized by Medical Education Resources (MER), a non-profit organization. The conference is titled “Internal Medicine for Primary Care: Geriatrics/Oncology/Orthopedics”. It will take place from May 29-31, 2026, at the Opal Sol in Clearwater, FL.
2. Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
Diagnose and treat shoulder injuries.
Describe the anatomy and function of the knee joint.
Utilize a comprehensive geriatric assessment to identify potential issues in the elderly patient.
Recognize and screen elderly patients for CVD risk factors.
Describe the primary care work-up of incontinence in older adults.
Diagnose and treat cognitive impairment, dementias, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Identify clinical practices shown to prevent cancer.
Discuss the diagnostic approach to the patient with suspected cancer.
Evaluate and manage risks of the cancer survivor.
Manage patients on new oral anticoagulants.
