by Fergus Allerton

The BSAVA Small Animal Formulary remains one of the most trusted and widely used resources in small animal practice, helping clinicians make safe, evidence-based decisions every day. This Part A 12th edition covering cats and dogs continues to evolve with veterinary medicine. It includes new monographs on drugs such as citalopram, enflicoxib, ilunocitinib and venlafaxine, reflecting the expanding range of therapeutic options available to our patients.

The addition of new appendices – including a seizure algorithm, detailed guidance on supplements and nutraceuticals, and expanded information on contrast agents – enhances its practical value in daily case management.
