The Institue for Functional Medicine Environmental Health 2022

The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) Environmental Health 2022 event was part of their Advanced Practice Modules® (APM) series, focusing on the impact of environmental toxins on human health. It took place from June 10–12, 2022, and was titled Environmental Health International 2022.
This module explored how chronic, low-level exposure to environmental toxicants—like those found in air, water, food, and personal care products—can contribute to a wide range of health issues, including endocrine disruption, neurodegeneration, mitochondrial dysfunction, and autoimmunity. The course emphasized the importance of assessing total toxic load and enhancing the body’s biotransformation and elimination pathways.
