Target Audience:
The target audience for this program includes pediatric radiologists and trainees, maternal fetal medicine physicians and trainees, fetal and pediatric surgeons, as well as adult radiologists who interpret placental and prenatal imaging studies.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe modern techniques related to pregnancy, including fertility treatment, preimplantation and prenatal genetic testing, and advanced maternal age.
2. Understand how to obtain and interpret high quality fetal imaging using both ultrasound MRI in all three trimesters.
3. Review how ultrasound and MRI work in a complementary fashion, and when MRI is indicated to further evaluate a fetal or placental condition.
4. Understand the role of the radiologist in diagnosis, prognosis, and counseling of fetal abnormalities, and explain how radiology, maternal fetal medicine, and surgery can collaborate most effectively.
