This book follows the principles of anatomy to guide surgical operations, biomechanics to guide fixation, and functional reconstruction to guide clinical operations. Each chapter first introduces the applied anatomy of the fracture site, emphasizing the relationship between anatomical structure and surgery, and emphasizing the structures that need to be protected and repaired during surgery. In addition, the biomechanical properties of the fracture site are described in order to select an appropriate fixation method according to the properties of the mechanical environment. In most of the chapters on periarticular fractures, the book also provides a detailed description of how the joint performs its function, which is often at the heart of clinical decision-making, and it is hoped that the reader will understand how and why.
