International Myeloma Society Practical Insights in and Translational Aspects of Novel Immune Therapies in Multiple Myeloma 2025

The “Practical Insights in and Translational Aspects of Novel Immune Therapies in Multiple Myeloma 2025” is a high-impact educational program taking place on October 27, 2025, both virtually and in person at the Congress-Centrum Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Held in conjunction with the DGHO Annual Meeting, this program aims to bridge the knowledge gap between CAR T administering centers and the smaller community centers where the vast majority of oncology patients receive treatment. As multiple myeloma treatments have evolved dramatically, the workshop focuses on raising awareness of novel immune-based strategies in the relapsed refractory setting. It provides specific education on patient characteristics, treatment selection, and toxicity management for therapies such as antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific T-cell engagers, and CAR T cells, with a particular focus on B cell maturation antigen (BCMA) targets.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, you will be able to:

Understand the types of patients who should be considered for novel immune based strategies including bispecific T cell engagers and CAR T cell therapy.

Understand the differences between TCEs, antibody drug conjugates, and CAR T cell process and data for appropriate care of the patient prior to consideration for these therapies.

Understand toxicities and their management post-novel immune strategies.
