The International Myeloma Society Educational Workshop will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from March 13 – 14, 2026, in collaboration with the Balkan Myeloma Study Group and the Serbian Myeloma Group. The event offers a dynamic program focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of plasma cell malignancies. Attendees will benefit from lectures, roundtable discussions, and point-counterpoint conversations addressing current practices, challenging questions, and clinical cases.
Learning Objectives
Based on the program sessions, learners will be able to:
Implement updated diagnostic testing, imaging techniques, and MRD testing for Multiple Myeloma.
Apply new risk stratification models and effectively manage both Smoldering Myeloma and Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma (transplant eligible and non-transplant eligible).
Determine optimal sequencing strategies for Relapsed and Refractory Multiple Myeloma and explore novel treatments beyond cell therapies.
Understand and incorporate novel immune strategies, including CAR T Cells and Bispecific T Cell Engagers, into clinical practice.
Manage myeloma-related complications such as bone disease, renal failure, and infections through appropriate supportive care and vaccinations.
Update knowledge on the management of other plasma cell disorders like Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia and AL Amyloidosis.
Address challenging clinical scenarios, including relapse after T cell redirected therapies, extramedullary disease, and incorporating frailty into treatment algorithms.
Target Audience
This workshop is intended for hematologists, oncologists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of patients with plasma cell malignancies.
Best for Hematologists and Oncologists.
