By Ian Anderson, Paul Marks
FRCS (Neurosurgery) Viva Case Book is intended as a guide to the clinical phase of the exit exams in neurosurgery. While principally aimed at the FRCS qualification, it could as easily be applied to the equivalent board reviews in other countries, including the Fellow of the European Board of Neurological Surgery (FEBNS) and The American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) examinations.Rather than didactic text book, this guide is designed to aid learning through real clinical cases and problem-solving. There is a mixture of core, “Bread and butter” neurosurgery and rarer conditions to keep the reader interested and to differentiate between levels of knowledge (as in the real examination). It is hoped that this text will afford readers the opportunity to “Learn through doing”; and there is no better way to progress than this!
