Salient Features• This handbook of OSPE in forensic medicine and toxicology is primarily intended for the undergraduate medical students as per the CBME Guidelines.• It carries various photographs of postmortem changes, mechanical injury, weapons and poisons for the visual impact on the reader.• The handbook also presents some ideas and practices for the student how to study articles, models, instruments, pathological specimens and photographs of weapons of medicolegal importance.• OSPE handbook is designed to enrich the learning experience of the second andthird professional (Part l) students in the subject of forensic medicine and provide atool that will strengthen their foundations in the second and third phases of theirmedical-professional life.• The OSPE in the MBBS curriculum creates an opportunity for the students to correlate their learning in the subject with the clinical application. This will also provide them opportunity to undertake a project and enhance self-directed learning.
