This book has become appropriate to introduce “Environmental Pollution” as a compulsory subject to final year students of diploma courses by the Board of Technical Education, UP, Lucknow. A diploma student must have awareness of different types of pollution, so as he/she may help in balancing the ecosystem and control, pollution by providing controlling measures. He/she should also be aware of environmental laws for effective controlling of pollution. In spite of its importance, there was no book in English targeted to UPBTE, Lucknow, affiliated diploma students. It was the prime motivation to us to write a book on this subject in a self-explanatory manner.
