India can boast on its infinite variety of wild animals and birds. Out of 4629 species of mammals in the world, nearly 390 species exist in India. So it is the duty of every Indian to protect these wild animals from extinction. In 1940’s for example, there were about 40,000 cheetahs found in India, but none is alive today.
