MISSION AND VISION
Mission: Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology aids neurology professionals in improving the clinical care of patients and in demonstrating continued competency.
Vision: Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology will present the highest quality in-depth information on topics in neurology and be the premier continuing medical education publication for neurology professionals.
Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology® is the official CME journal of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). Published since 1993, Continuum® is an in-depth clinically oriented review journal for the practicing neurologist, residents and fellows, advanced practice providers, and neurology professionals. Written by authors who are experts in their field, each bimonthly issue contains up-to-date knowledge around a single topic area in neurology.
The goals of Continuum include disseminating timely review articles in a lively, interactive format; fostering self-assessment and lifelong learning skills; encouraging critical thinking; and strengthening and improving patient care. The continuing medical education (CME) component of Continuum includes a 40 multiple-choice question posttest covering material presented in the entire issue. This activity provides up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ of self-assessment CME (SA-CME) per issue.
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed Continuum and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning and self-assessment program, which is mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) as a necessary component of continuing certification (CC).
The material presented in Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology has been made available by the AAN for educational purposes only.
