This course will provide an update and review on the imaging appearance of trauma and stroke, with a special focus on the key aspects of diagnosis and management, from the perspective of a regional network of care. Content will include indications for a higher level of care, radiology considerations for evacuation and transport, Quality Improvement, lessons learned, “what the surgeon needs to know,” implications for radiology from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma 2022 Update (Gray Book), and local responsibilities in regional disaster response. Content will be presented by world renowned experts from the University of Washington and from trauma centers from across the United States and Canada including the perspectives of surgery, emergency medicine, neurology, regional emergency transport, and trauma network managers and policy-makers.
