It begins by exploring cross-cultural counseling in general, and discusses the latest theories and research in the field. Thereafter, each chapter focuses on a different population, exploring the unique challenges and issues experienced by each. Populations include, members of the African diaspora, the Latinx population, white people of European descent, older persons, people with disabilities, and many more. The text concludes with two chapters devoted to the counselor’s ethical responsibilities as well as a discussion of how the counselor may become an advocate for social justice.
