Morbus Dupuytren: Eine Übersicht für Ärzte aller Fachrichtungen (essentials) (German Edition) (EPUB)
The Fibromatosis disease of the palmar aponeurosis, involving parts of the subcutaneous fascial system of the hand and fingers, is commonly known as Dupuytren’s disease. This multifactorial disease with hereditary predisposition and tendency to recurrence presents a therapeutic challenge for the treating physician. It predominantly affects the elderly population and is mainly found in Northern Europe. The minimally invasive percutaneous needle aponeurotomy and the partial aponeurectomy are surgical procedures that have been established for the treatment of Dupuytren’s contracture. Further therapy options and the special features of the surgical treatment of a recurrent contracture are presented in detail.
