Deep Brain Stimulation is a peer-reviewed international journal covering all topics in the field of deep brain stimulation (DBS), both in clinical and basic science. It is the official journal of the Deep Brain Stimulation Society. Topics include Ethics, Neuroscience, Neurology, Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Neurotechnology and Engineering, Psychology, and Paramedicine. It is an open access journal with no subscription charges providing high-quality content. Authors will have their work immediately and freely accessible to readers worldwide. Deep Brain Stimulation is dedicated to publish scholarly original articles and reviews on the application of DBS in the nervous system.

DBS is broadly defined and includes electrical, chemical, (electro) magnetic, optical, ultrasound based, radiowaves and other methods targeting (deep) brain areas. Article types accepted include original articles, reviews, brief reports, technology and methodology, and letters to the Editor. Special issues will be considered based on scientific development in the field.
