Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Center for Robotic Surgery has planned a two-day conference that will focus on robotic surgery program development, common clinical application presentations and case discussions in addition to a clinical animal lab experience designed to introduce robotic surgery to practicing pediatric surgeons.
- Provide a comprehensive overview of clinical case scenarios amenable to the use of robotic technology for the pediatric population, including modification of techniques and safety considerations for application in a vulnerable population.
- Review programmatic logistics including institutional support, personnel training, credentialing and quality control.
- Review contemporary literature and related outcome data associated with robotic-assisted pediatric general and thoracic surgery.
