Clinical Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology (CTMP) is an open-access journal published quarterly, dedicated to complementary medicine. Complementary medicine, which complements mainstream medicine by addressing unmet needs, diversifying conceptual frameworks, or contributing to a holistic approach, is the focus of CTMP. We welcome articles on various therapeutic techniques and methodologies, such as herbal and physical therapy, used for disease treatment and health maintenance.
CTMP serves as a platform for elucidating the intricate medical landscape through contemporary research and rhetorical cognitive modes. Our primary emphasis lies in publishing evidence-based clinical trials, clinical and basic pharmacological research, unique ethnic therapeutic methods, pharmacokinetics studies, and toxicological research related to complementary medicine. We also prioritize research investigating the molecular foundations and mechanisms of action of complementary medicine to assess its clinical effectiveness.
Our scope encompasses:
Clinical Research: We accept diverse clinical studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and other complementary medicines, including randomized controlled trials, non-randomized controlled studies, cohort studies, case-control studies, single-arm studies, reviews, and meta-analyses.
Methodology Research: We encourage systematic reviews and research articles examining therapeutic methods in complementary medicine for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Molecular Basis Research: Our journal welcomes studies delving into the molecular underpinnings of complementary medical theories and concepts, molecular/cellular targets, signalling pathways, action mechanisms, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology for complementary and ethnic medicines.
CTMP organizes its content into three main sections: “Clinical Research,” “Experimental Research,” and “Review and Meta-Analysis.” We accept Full-Length Articles, Short Communications, Views on News, and Perspectives for the “Clinical Research” and “Pharmacological Research” sections. “Review and Meta-Analysis” research is exclusively considered for the corresponding section.
