Analysis of the EEGs of the Space- occupying Lesions and the Other Local EEG Findings (Epub Book)

The book is dedicated to my father and a teacher prof. David G. Shmelkin, Doctor of Medical Sciences, the Chief of the EEG Laboratory in the Kharkov Ukrainian Institute of the Neurology and Psychiatry, the pioneer in clinical EEG. The author, Dr. of Science , Regina Shmelkina, is a clinical neurophysiologist from Ukraine. The book is the result of her more than thirty years of experience in clinical EEG, diagnostics and research with publications as it applies to neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry. The monograph is intended to be a source of information not only on basic principles of the EEG interpretation together with data of clinical examinations, useful for the detection of focal neurological deficits but it is particularly important because of the difficulties to be encountered in the differential diagnosis between supra and sub tentorial tumors in the respect to the deep-seated tumors, abscesses, epilepsy, cysts, head trauma, vascular disorders which symptomatically can be sometimes similar in these patients and are not detected by the other methods of assessments.
