Treatment of Malpositioned Implants in the Esthetic Zone
The course aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the state of the art in pre- and post-surgical prosthetic management of patients with unsuitable abutments or fixtures positioned too buccally and/or with non-optimal inclinations.
The course includes:
- 3 video lectures by Prof. Carlo Monaco
- 1 case of combined surgical-prosthetic treatment performed and commented on in collaboration with Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli
Topics covered in the course:
- What to do when the removal of the osseointegrated implant is not an option
- Soft tissue management before and after surgery
- How to exploit digital technologies for the improvement of prosthetic procedures and the maintenance/correction of malpositioned fixtures
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Identify the decision-making criteria that guide prosthetic retreatment, with particular reference to the analysis of risk factors
- Perform the pre- and post-surgical operative protocol for soft tissue management, modulate the shape and conditioning of the tissues, and manage the provisional restorations
- Manage even the most extreme cases thanks to the Welded Angulated Abutment technique developed with the team of the School of Bologna, exploiting digital technologies and ensuring the success of the treatment
- Understand the synergy between the prosthetic and surgical treatment and guarantee predictability and stability over time
