Dyscalculie: Comprendre et intervenir sur les difficultés en résolution des problèmes (PDF Book)

By Alain Ménissier
Problem solving is an activity that integrates many functions such as perception, memory, understanding or reasoning. Understanding problem-solving activity is therefore fundamental in the management of mathematical cognition disorders. The aid approach should be based on the nature and characteristics specific to each particular problem. The purpose of this book is to provide practitioners with the theoretical and methodological tools that will guide their remedial work. Each chapter of the book refers to the steps necessary for a good resolution of a situational problem: Translation of the problem, Integration of data, Planning of actions, Execution of calculations, Cognitive self-regulation of actions. This book is addressed mainly to professionals who work on dyscalculia and mathematical cognition disorders (speech therapists/speech therapists, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation doctors, etc.). It will also be of interest to teachers and parents wishing to better understand a child’s difficulties in solving an arithmetic problem. This book is accompanied by a minisite on which more than 300 exercises are available for download and print.read more
