Uke aspirin acetaminophen inhibits prostaglandin (PG) synthesis. The inhibition of PG synthesisis mainly in bre:tin which explains’its antipyretic and analgesic activity’. It is much less effective thanaspirin as inhibitor ofPG biosyTlthetic enzyme system and therefore does not have antiinflammatoryactivity.
